Former Marshall County Commissioner Bob Miller now has a new role in local government.
OHIO VALLEY — Former Marshall County Commissioner Bob Miller now has a new role in local government.
This week he was chosen to be executive director of the West Virginia Route 2 and I-68 Authority.
The organization promotes and advances construction and improvements to Route 2 and I-68 in the Morgantown area, with hopes of joining the two areas by highway.
Miller worked on this initiative during his time with the Marshall County Commission, and is looking forward to using established connections to push the project along.
“This position fits me like a glove. Fortunately, the board of directors and members of the Authority have given me a free reign to continue. They must like what I’ve done so far. I intend to continue the path I’ve been doing,” Miller said.
He also said that something to expect in the future is the widening of Route 2 to four lanes between Kent and Proctor.
That is expected to happen within the next three years.
